Aloe Vera Plant Care Questions Answered http://bit.ly/qvfh9Y James asks…how to take care of aloe vera plant?I bought a wonderfull aloe plant ten days ago, with 7 little babies: I put it in the window, where it is pretty sunny. After a week I noticed that the end of the leafs dried and that there are two completely dried out leafs in the bottom. Can anyone tell me how to help the plant, and what is the proper care for it?Chloe Adisson answers:Aloe vera doesn't need too much direct sun light. It has to be in an airy place like where you put it but if the sun is beating it directly you have to change it's position. Too muc sunlight will definitely kill it. Also it doesn't need too much water so you can only water it once or twice a week because it has a lot of water already in the leaves.John asks…How do you take care of an Aloe Vera Plant?I recently had an Aloe Vera plant given to me and I have no Idea how to care for it. The tenant had left the plant behind when they moved, and it was a very sad plant.
I think it may have been used as an ash try a little too- because it reeked of cigs.
I have been caring for this plant for about a month now, and while it doesn't look dead- it doesn't look good either.
It lays over on it's side- I don't believe I am over watering it. I also see little baby plants in the pot- where do these come from?
Is the Aloe just beyond helping?
Thanks!
What's up with it?Chloe Adisson answers:We rescued a aloe plant too-
First thing I would do is change out the soil- when you change the soil put some rocks or marbles or something in the bottom so when you water it, the extra water has somewhere to go, instead of rotting the roots.
Our plant has made about 15 new plants since we have changed the soil about 2 months ago- i don't know where they come from, since they are easily pulled out of the dirt- we move the new ones around to give them more space.
I would also try talking to the plant if it still looks sad- or put a cigarette in there- it might be jonesin for some nicotine or something.
Keep out of direct light, and put inside somewhere the temp is constant.Robert asks…how do I care for an aloe vera plant?I just planted a cactus garden on my porch and my aloe plant is brown, I keep watering it but how do I save it from dying?Chloe Adisson answers:You're over watering it. They grow in very hot countries and don't like a lot of water. They store water in their own leaves. Water very sparingly and in the summer give it a couple of really good soaks (like there's been a rainstorm.Chris asks…What is the best way to care for aloe vera plant? How much light, water?Chloe Adisson answers:Plenty of sun, let the soil dry out between waterings. Aloe vera is a succulent plant, so reduce the watering during the winter (for temperate climates). If you want a very full plant, break off pieces regularly (to promote more growth). If you kill this plant, hang up your gardening gloves forever.Powered by Yahoo! Answers
